Why let the trees decide where we can hang a hammock? We built our own supports instead.
What started as a simple tripod hammock bed became one of our favorite places to sit, read, and hang out—and a design we kept rebuilding and improving along the way.

Bamboo rice always starts with a trip into the hills to find fresh bamboo. We cut it, stuff it with rice, sausage, corn, and carrots, then put it over the fire and wait…and wait.
My sister usually starts asking when it’ll be ready long before it actually is. Then we finally crack open the bamboo, the smoky smell comes out, and all that food disappears in minutes.
Hours to make, minutes to eat. Totally worth it.
